The Planning Commission recommended approval of the Trailridge Apartment Expansion and Rezone Project at its meeting on October 12. The project includes the construction of a separate two-story 14-unit apartment building adjacent to the existing 49-unit Trailridge Apartment complex. The 14-unit addition will be built on the adjoining parcels south of the existing apartment building. The neighboring parcel is currently occupied with a single family residence which will be demolished as part of the project. Access to the new building is proposed from the two existing driveways servicing Trailridge Apartments. An emergency driveway is proposed south of the new apartment building. Project entitlements include a rezone from R3 to R4, design review and a lot line adjustment (lot merger). The project is scheduled to go before City Council on November 7. The City Council will take action on the rezone and design review request.
