My career in public service started while attending college. I served in the capacities of planning commissioner, council member and mayor in the Town of Paradise. Upon completion of my Master of Arts Degree in City Planning, I started working for the City of Galt. While employed for the City, I served in three principle capacities including Planning Director, Assistant City Manager and Community Development Director. In addition, I authored numerous grants, coordinated to completion several documents including two General Plan updates, Sphere of Influence Studies and Specific Plans. Overseeing multiple annexations to the City and development of the Industrial Park and Northeast Area were additional highlights in my career.
I thoroughly enjoyed and felt honored to work for the City of Galt for 26 years. After retiring, I wanted to stay connected to the community that provided so much for my family and myself. Since being elected to the City Council in 2012, I have enjoyed working with the staff, council, schools, community groups, service clubs and citizens to improve our community. I take the responsibility of serving as a council member seriously, take pride in my work and am honored to serve the residents of this community. I look forward to all opportunities to help build, enhance and benefit the City of Galt.
