 Rich has been married to his wife Pam for over 26 years. They have two adult daughters, Alicia and Courtney. The Lozano family has been active in public service for many years. Rich and Pam have been youth sports coaches and board members for many years. Their passion for improving opportunities for citizens of the community is of the utmost importance. They have been involved in toy drives in both the Galt and Elk Grove communities for 8 years. Rich is also a member of the Galt Sunrise Rotary Club.

Rich served as a youth sports league president for 5 years and board member for 7 years before being elected to the Cosumnes Community Services District (CSD) Board of Directors, your fire protection agency. Rich was elected in 2010 and re-elected in 2014. Rich served as Board President in 2014 and 2018 before being elected to the Galt City Council. Public safety is a priority for Rich and he believes when a community feels safe, citizens and businesses will have the opportunity to thrive.

Rich has worked for the Elk Grove Unified School District for over 25 years where he currently supervises the Safety, Security and Police Services Operations. Rich worked 23 years as a School Police Officer and Police Sergeant. Rich holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a California P.O.S.T. Intermediate Certificate. Rich has been awarded several professional awards for Distinguished Service and Critical Incidents.

Rich is honored to serve the citizens of Galt on the City Council and takes pride in his Great American Little Town. Rich is dedicated to listening to the citizens of Galt and representing their interests on the council. Rich credits his desire of public service from his late father, Ralph Lozano.
