I was born in Pennsylvania; before arriving in Sacramento to attend High School, I traveled around the world, lived in Indonesia for 2 years and had visited 17 countries along the way. After graduating from Cal Poly, I lived in Salinas, CA. and then North Canton, Ohio. Our family finally settled in Galt.
I have been married to my wife Grace for 44 years. She worked for the City of Galt Police & Finance Departments and the past 27 years at CTA (formerly TRACS, SCT/Link). Our daughter started school in Galt and graduated from Galt High School. Along the way she was on the Galt Gators Swim Team, played soccer, fast pitch softball and worked at the Gora Aquatic Center. My daughter now works for the State of California and is a local School Board Member.
I have been involved with our City's Planning since 1986, have attended League of California Cities Planning Conferences and a 16 week SACOG sponsored course on 'The Practice of Local Government Planning'. During this period I was also appointed to Regional Commissions and City Commissions. In addition, I ran for public office 4 times, was elected to Galt City Council and served one term.
My professional background is in Maintenance, Plant Industrial (Facility) Engineering. I have worked for local, national, world-wide and government organizations. Probably my most satisfying job was working on the Northridge Earthquake event supervising 17 FEMA Field Teams that wrote $190 Million in grants for the Los Angeles Unified School District.
I'm also a grandfather; enjoy family, traveling and the outdoors. My granddaughter is also on the student council of her school.
