The Parks and Recreation Department offers a variety of classes with our Special Interest Instructors.  For more information on these classes, please call the office at (209) 366-7180.

Adult Paint & Wine Night - Step by step lessons by local artist Nancy Quiaoit. You'll complete and take home a finished piece of artwork. The next two classes are at Brewster's from 6:00-8:00pm at $35/person.  Tulips Paint Night is May 16th for ages 12 and older.   Wine Time Paint Night is June 13th for ages 18 and older.

Beginning Tap Dance & Ballet Classes - Classes for all ages!  Classes at Galt Dance Center. 

Cane Masters Exercise Programs - Self Defense and Fitness for seniors taught by Iron Dragon Kenpo Karate.

CPR/First Aid Classes Our department has American Red Cross certified instructors to conduct various safety classes for you and your friends.  A minimum of 6 people are required for the Parks & Recreation Department to schedule any classes.  Call Monica at 366-7180 for more information.Egg Art sample

Egg Art : 2017 - Sept 9, Oct 14, Nov 11, Dec 9. (Classes are held in the Fairsite Classroom from 10:00am - 4:00pm). Taught by Diana Macias, longtime member of the “Northern California’s Egg Artists” and the “International Egg Art Guild”.  

Fitness in a Chair  - An exercise class to music for men and women.  This program is specifically designed for those ages 50 years or older or for persons who need a limited exercise program; stretching, flexing and toning the body.  All exercises are done in a chair.
Mondays & Fridays 10:45 a.m. - 11:15 a.m. Fee:    $1.00    Location: Chabolla Community Center

Guitar Lessons  -Guitar fundamentals with Instructor Travis Vega.

Hip Hop Dance -Our hip hop classes are fun and structured classes aimed at teaching rhythm, hip hop moves, street dances and even some break dancing moves!

Hw2 Cook Sept. & Oct. updated - Each class offers different subject matters and topics.  Classes are held on Tuesdays or Wednesdays at the Littleton Community Center kitchen.

Hunter's Safety Course - 2017  - A fun-filled, information-packed hunter safety class taught by California Department of Fish and Wildlife certified instructors.

A beginning class in line dancing is given Tuesdays at 2:00-3:30 p.m. and Thursdays (advanced) from 3:00-4:30 p.m. at the Chabolla Community Center. 


Star Program (Special Teens and Adults) - All teens and adults with special needs are invited to participate in this program. The STAR Program hosts events one to two Friday evenings per month from 7:00PM-9:00PM at the Chabolla Community Center (some events may be held at the Littleton Community Center, please check with office). Individuals with unique special needs should have a caregiver stay to give assistance. Please pick up participants not later than 9:15 p.m. For more information, please call the Parks and Recreation Office.
Tai Chi Class


T’ai Chi - T’ai Chi helps to prevent falling and may help with high blood pressure.  Classes are held on Tuesdays @ 9:30am at the Parks & Recreation Classrooms and are taught by Brenda Norris. Classes are only $5.00 each.


Tang Soo Do - Karate classes for Youth ages 8 through adults.  Learn: Physical Agility - Self Defense - Self Confidence.
