The Parks and Recreation Department offers a variety of classes with our Special Interest Instructors. For more information on these classes, please call the office at (209) 366-7180.
Beginning Tap Dance & Ballet Classes - Classes for all ages! Classes at Galt Dance Center.
CPR/First Aid Classes - Our department has American Red Cross certified instructors to conduct various safety classes for you and your friends. A minimum of 6 people are required for the Parks & Recreation Department to schedule any classes. Call Monica at 366-7180 for more information.
Egg Art 101: 2019 - Jan. 12, Feb. 9, Mar. 16, Apr. 27, May 18, Jun. 15, Jul. 20, Aug. 24, Sept. 21 Oct. 19, Nov. 16 & Dec. 04. (Classes are held in the Fairsite Classroom from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.). Taught by Diana Macias, longtime member of the “Northern California’s Egg Artists” and the “International Egg Art Guild”.
Fitness in a Chair - An exercise class to music for men and women. This program is specifically designed for those ages 50 years or older or for persons who need a limited exercise program; stretching, flexing and toning the body. All exercises are done in a chair.
Mondays & Fridays 10:45 a.m. - 11:15 a.m. Fee: $1.00 Location: Chabolla Community Center

Fitness is Forever - Exercise class to music for men and women. The program is specifically designed for those ages 50 years of age and older or for those who need a limited exercise program-stretching, flexing, toning the body.

Hip Hop Dance - Our hip hop classes are fun and structured classes aimed at teaching rhythm, hip hop moves, street dances and even some break dancing moves!
Line Dancing - A beginning class in line dancing is given Tuesdays at 1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. and Thursdays (advanced) from 3:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. at the Chabolla Community Center.
Star Program (Special Teens and Adults) - All teens and adults with special needs are invited to participate in this program. The STAR Program hosts events one to two Friday evenings per month from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at the Chabolla Community Center (some events may be held at the Littleton Community Center, please check with office). Individuals with unique special needs should have a caregiver stay to give assistance. T’ai Chi - T’ai Chi helps to prevent falling and may help with high blood pressure. Classes are held on Tuesdays 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. at the Parks & Recreation Classrooms and are taught by Brenda Norris. Classes are only $5.00 each.
Tang Soo Do - Karate classes for Youth ages 8 through adults. Learn: Physical Agility - Self Defense - Self Confidence.
