The National Weather Service is forecasting a significant winter storm over the next 48 hours. Residents should prepare for heavy winds and rain, commencing Wednesday night and increasing in intensity into Thursday. With high winds, extended power outages are a possibility. Residents should avoid unnecessary travel, stock emergency supplies (water, flashlights, batteries, medications) and remove or secure outdoor items that are susceptible to wind damage.

Sandbags: CLOSED
The City opened a self-service sand bag station at the Municipal Service Center, located at 495 Industrial Drive. Directional Signs will be placed on Industrial Drive to direct residents. Bags are provided but you must bring your own shovel. The sand bags are intended for those residing within City limits. For hours of operation, email publicworks@ci.galt.ca.us or call 209.366.7260.
